Pilot Press is the imprint of artist Richard Porter. Started in 2017 as a gesture of solidarity against the darkness, the press is inspired by the collaborative spirit of the gay liberation movement and the radical, subversive history of artists' DIY publishing.

The press is solo-run and receives no external funding or institutional support. It works with a distributor, Public Knowledge Books, who are able to supply independent bookshops in the U.K. and around the world.
